2013 Massican Sauvignon: Although winemaker Dan Petroski said his first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc was an “accident,” it was clearly a happy one. Produced from an old vineyard in Napa’s Pope Valley, this is an intensely aromatic, full-bodied and well-structured wine that Mr. Petroski said is nearly the equal in quality to the first Sauvignon he produced, in 2009.
